Show & Tell: Members Share Their Favorite House Plants

By Greenville Garden Club

On Tuesday evening, May 26th, members of the Greenville Garden Club gathered at the home of Dave and Diane Doll in Pocahontas for one of the most personal programs of the year — a good old-fashioned show and tell. The assignment was simple: bring your favorite house plant and be ready to talk about it. What followed was a wonderful showcase of the variety and passion that lives inside our members' homes. From tried-and-true classics to more unusual finds, each plant came with its own story — how it was acquired, what it takes to keep it happy, and why it holds a special place in the collection. A little chilly, but well spent together Programs like this are a reminder that some of the best gardening knowledge in the room isn't in any book — it's in the hands of the people sitting next to you. Whether you picked up a new tip on watering, learned about a plant you'd never heard of, or just enjoyed seeing what your fellow members have been quietly tending indoors all winter, there was plenty to take home. Thank you to Dave and Diane for opening their home, and to every member who brought a plant and shared a little piece of their green thumb with the group. Everyone enjoying all the blooms
